Create your monogram! In this one-hour class, designer Will Pay shares his creative process for designing a monogram — a perfect graphic for a website, logo, or even stationery. In bite-sized lessons, Will walks you through: letter anatomy, lettering embellishments, the rules of letterform design, and designing a monogram.

I created an eight-video series teaching students how to design their own monogram. This hour-long Skillshare class takes students through my design process, covering areas like research, inspiration hunting, sketching, refining, vectorizing and finally applying their logo to branded materials.

This self promotion project was designed to promote my  Skillshare class - Exploring Letterforms Through Monograms. These monograms were put up on my instagram to get my audience interested in designing their own monograms. At the end of the project, one design was chosen to be printed as both a T-shirt and hoodie. These two shirts and hoodie were available for a limited time only through the good folks at Cottonbureau. 

 

Over 4,000 students have taken my class. It’s been richly rewarding to see my students work come to life.
